ServerSideWiki
Josh Goebel has done an excellent job retrofitting an existing Javascript app using Ruby on Rails. With only 110 extra lines of Ruby code, he's modified the Wiki to run on the Server Side, with Ajax. The result of his efforts is ServerSideWiki.
The idea behind ServerSideWiki is to provide all the power of TiddlyWiki, but in a ServerSide form. It's still not exactly collaborative (it's in the works), but it's not a single monolithic HTML file glued to your person anymore.
