Google and Sun to release an AJAX office ?
We were talking too much about AJAX office this week on the AJAX magazine, and here a news that could change the world. Sun and Google are going to announce a web Office Suite based on OpenOffice, and accesible via webbrowser.
The news event will be held today October 4, 2005 10:30 a.m. PT/1:30 p.m. ET at the Computer History Museum, Mountain View, CA. I'll keep you updated as soon as I'll have more news.
C|NET news have an article about Google, Sun plan partnership in which the analyst Stephen O'Grady said that "Google has the ability to get into exponentially more places than does OpenOffice"
Update : Intox ! The conference was about an agreement to share and distribute their own technologies. But in the future there is a collaboration also about OpenOffice.
