AJAXTrans, AJAX Based web translator
AjaxTrans is one of the very useful AJAX application I have seen which aims to provide live translation while typing. A feature that I would like to have in my desktop translator too, and would be very useful to write for multilingue websites, you type once and you have it ready in real time in the different language you want. And generally we have to do changes on the translation, and this will be a very interesting feature to integrate in CMS.
To test it simply "Start typing any text you want to be translated into the green field. The words should be automatically translated into the language of your choice and appear in the bluish box. To switch langauges, simply click on the language you would like to translate from and then procede to select the language you would like to translate into. In order to swap the contents of the two boxes, use a double click."
There is many webservices in SOAP or XML-RPC that could be used for translation to test it like Translation Engine by webserviceX.net, or commercial solution such SYSTRAN, or SMART Translator...
What I found interesting also is that the language supported are flexible for example you can translate from english to spanish, german, italian, portugese; from french to english and german only ... etc. With a translation table the same interface could be used to display more than one translation in the same time
