Google Page Creator Launched
Google have launched today their Page creator, a new service to allow users create and host their pages online and will be visible at http://yourgmailusername.googlepages.com. A new service as you can imagine it with lot of DHTML and AJAX, but not for professionals and web designers, it's more for beginners, to make photo galleries, personal home pages, ... etc.

Auto Save
After creating a new page and you decide to change the layout or go to another page, the auto save is a great and very useful feature so you cannot loose your work. I clicked by error on the home page, and then tryed to click again somewhere else, all links become disabled and you can see only the saving message at top. In addition to the Undo/Redo feature which makes editing more easily.
Conclusion
Google Page Creator is a simple tool for creating online web pages. The software could be compared to any wysiwyg editor very simple to use and really adopted for creating web pages. A very basic free hosting service to add in the list, but this time ala google. Personaly the only benefit I see behind it is in this line "The pages you create can be crawled by Google within a few hours of publication.", this will be a very interesting tool for SEO and a very quick answer to Microsoft Live Office !
