Java Experts Predict AJAX Will Be Huge

This week e-Week have an article about AJAX application development by Darryl K. Taft about Java Expert Predicting that AJAX Will Be Huge. During TheServerSide Java Symposium panelist offered predictions and expectations for the future of development on the Java platform, and since "Java" couldn't provide a good answer for the web hopes are now on Javascript and AJAX ?

Cedric Beust, an engineer at Google, said: "I think all the pieces are there on the server side. But I think we'll get a whole new ecosystem around AJAX [Asynchronous JavaScript and XML]. It's like a bad cold. More and more people are coming to this thing and we have a whole new excitement for Web sites we never had before, with things like mashups."

Beust, who was invited onstage by Geir Magnusson, a member of the Apache Software Foundation and responsible for architecture for Intel's Middleware Products Division, as part of Magnusson's keynote, described AJAX as "SOA [service-oriented architecture] for the client. We're trying to pick up several services and put them on the client."

Dion Almaer Co-founder of Ajaxian and CTO of Adigio, Inc with Justin Gehtland co-founder of Relevance LLC are giving two session in this Symposium about Building Quality Applications with Ajax and the second one with Ajax Frameworks. There is also session by Coach Wei, Nexaweb about AJAX , Java and Rich Internet Applications and more others that you can check on the Symposium website
