jQuery 1.0.4 : Big Updates

jQuery have released its version 1.0.4 with a number of bug fixes along with some much-needed improvements to jQuery’s Ajax functionality. Some of the new features include Extensions to $.ajax() which now accepts additional options: beforeSend, async and processData; returns XMLHttpRequest to allow manual aborting of requests.

Some big changes have been going on in an effort to better organize the jQuery project as well improve the user experience and extend the project's visibility. John Resig, jQuery's creator, has done quite a bit of legwork and broken out the jQuery project team into dedicated groups that will help promote the effort on many different fronts. jQuery, which is now one of the most robust AJAX libraries, will celebrate its first birthday on January 14, so congratulation to the jQuery community for this great effort.
