jQuery Turned One.1

jQuery celebrate today its first birthday in the same time with the release of version 1.1 and a refreshed website design. jQuery 1.1 new features were already announced before, but now there is an upgrade guide available for compatibility switch from old release. To keep your 1.0-style functionalities working you can use the jQuery 1.0 Compatibility Plugin.

Speed and ease of use are the two important keys of jQuery 1.1 after a big simplification of the outstanding API and tons of bug fixes. jQuery Documentation got a new home at docs.jquery.com with API reference, plugins, and tutorials. The last news announced will be coming late-Spring/early-Summer with the release of the first jQuery book, while the jQuery Magazine have been forgotten I think after its first and unique issue on September 2006. Keep up the good work for 2007.
