YUI 2.2.0 Released, Time To Party

It have been long time that Yahoo stopped developing yScript and switched to better alternatives. This year it's great to see Yahoo again but this time with YUI, version 2.2.0 have just popped in yesterday with many major changes and a good collection of cheat-sheets that I really loved. New in this release :

  • Browser History Manager : now YUI can "back/forward" and bookmark more easily on all A-grade browsers. Be sure to check the experimental browser history manager cheat sheet [PDF]
  • DataTable Control : A beta component with many great features to view, edit, sort, search ...
  • Button Control : provides a platform for implementing visually impactful buttons that range from standard click-to-navigate buttons to radio buttons and checkboxes to advanced split-buttons that can operate as both a button and a menu.
  • Reorganization of utility classes
  • The YAHOO Global Object

And if you are around don't miss the first YUI's party to celebrate the first year of the library tomorrow Thursday, February 22nd, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, at Yahoo! HQ in Sunnyvale, California.
