Morfik 07, WebOS AppsBuilder Goes 1.0
- All project source files are in XML format now. Including .mxp, .cfg, .mfr, .mrp, .mqr, .mmd, .mtb, .mws file types
- All languages (C#, JAVA, BASIC, Object Pascal) are now pretty close to being on par with each other.
- AppsBuilder Framework has been updated to work with the Salesforce.com API 8
For the documentation, the Developer's Handbook have been updated and you can get the latest release from Morfik, and there is something new : the MorfikWiki which aims to replace the 'Help Menu'/F1 key.
In order to improve performance in AppsBuilder 1, the automatically generated system tables are not generated anymore for new projects and any framework routines related to these system tables have been removed. If you have used these tables you can find how to update code, for example if your project is using the built-in authentification system in Morfik you should get the compilation error 'Undeclared Identifier: SecurityObject'.
If you are interested to join the Morfik community, Mike Kerner have setup three Morfik Groups : morfik-tech, morfik-tech-not and morfik-pub. Also be sure to check the Morfik labs, there is a new AJAX Calendar application by Péter Illés in addition to some qooxdoo "like" examples such the toolbar, tabs and lists.
