Enough RCs,
Prototype 1.5.1 is finally out today after about 8 days since
the latest RC3. Around 30 bugs fixed and a slew of features and performance optimizations introduced since 1.5.0. If you used the previous RCs there is no big changes in the final 1.5.1 beside that the library is getting more stable. From the
changelog :
- Incredible Selector speedup and full CSS3 support
- Full JSON encoding and decoding support and options for improved security.
- Optimized Element#get/setStyle for cross-browser compatibility and speed.
- Various String method enhancements and fixes.
- The new Form#request method simplifies the common case of submitting a serialized form with XMLHttpRequest.
- Many form serialization fixes—if you had troubles before, now they’ve been squashed.
